Online counseling is a therapy session that occurs between a licensed psychotherapist and a client over a secure video chat platform.
What are the benefits of online counseling?

Also the service is useful if you live in an area that does not have therapists close by or if you are looking for a therapist who has a particular specialty. For example, I specialize in working with individuals and couples facing infertility. Therapists with this specialty may be hard for you to locate. Finally, if you have unique scheduling needs due to work or other commitments, video counseling may provide you with options that best fit your scheduling needs.
How does it work?
First we will speak over the phone for a complimentary 15 minutes phone consultation. If we decide that video counseling is the best option for you we will schedule your first session. All you need to do is find a private place where you can talk without interruption. Also, you will need a smartphone or computer with a camera and internet access. Once we select an appointment time for your session, I will provide you with a link where you will log in and will meet me in the virtual room for your session.
Is this type of therapy as effective as coming into the office?
Recent research is showing that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy, and in some cases even more so. Clients report being as satisfied with the results from video therapy as with face to face therapy in research studies such as this one.
